Some credit is due,

After all, from the start of Fin Sys Inq in March 2014 to final Report delivered this week,
this beaurocratic marathon was completed in admirable time-frame, compared to our CA.

Chairman of the Financial System Inquiry

[ Thank you to the National Press Club for the interest you have shown in today’s release of the interim report of the Financial System Inquiry.
Sustaining confidence in the Australian financial system has been central to the work of our Inquiry.------

However, the report suggests that there may be a case for Government and regulators to do more to reduce resultant disruption and the size of the potential call on taxpayers.
Options for change include higher regulatory capital requirements to further reduce the risk of failure;
pre-positioning arrangements and increased capacity of regulators to impose costs on an institution’s creditors rather than taxpayers.-------

The message is that, while we cannot eliminate so-called moral hazard, there is much that could be done to reduce it. By moral hazard, I mean the risk that perceptions of government support will lead to behaviour that increases the likelihood of such support being required. By reducing moral hazard we can also reduce the significance of so-called implicit guarantees.
The view of the Committee is that it is better to try and address the root causes of moral hazard than its symptoms.]

To conclude:
Australia must Invent an electronic scanner tools and make it MANDATORY to use them on every candidate entering
Financial and Regulatory System in Australia for detection of their traces of MORAL HAZARD.
