You are spot on, it is happening today. They are chewing up any sellers (could be their own among others scared sellers). Once the report is out and the market realize that they are still making reasonable money and other divisions are OK as well this will end but they know this time is the best to accumulate or keep it down for a reason. Check FMG and BCI today how well the market reacted to the report as they realize that the Aussie miners are competing well.
Bring on the FY and the div and then see how they scramble for it but hey they win again as it is good profit if it goes up strong post results.
