That is an excellent point - axing the carbon tax along with stopping the boats where TA's "BIG" election promises but how much do they really mean to voters ? I'd say diddly squat - it's the ones that he broke that are more of concern to a greater portion of Australians and will trigger votes hence why his polls are now scraping the lows. What does a $10 saving each week from axing the carbon tax really mean when it is being replaced by other costs like seeing the doctor ? and it will be interesting to see that those "savings" are passed on ?

Good point Akki, I guess the next election will be the proving ground.
For mine, stopping the boats and axing the dioxide tax mean quite a lot. I would have been disappointed if Abbott had not done so as they should have been fairly easy wins.
