Sony are very much involved contractually with AKP pursuant to a development agreement signed and executed some years ago.
Sony has been responsible for production of the latest generation of MEMS chips that have satisfied specifications (read chairmans announcement in May) and are now part of the the extensive regime of testing currently taking place in Israel. In addition to Sony, there are an array of other major companies around the world ie Samsung, Apple etc. who are closely watching current developments of AKP.
