Exactly what I am asking. Some have already laughed and automatically said "no" without further question. Some would have done similar to the thought that disease was caused by tiny organisms rather than the Devil.
But my question is, do we even have the data, technology, knowledge or discoveries to conclusively rule all external influence out?
There is a whole lot of unknown (missing and known energy) on scales unimaginable to us on Earth. Even a whiff of additional unrecorded particles could potentially have significant influence on our system.
