From the ABC report:
Independent forecaster Deloitte Access Economics, which was commissioned by the Government to evaluate the benefits high-speed broadband would bring to families, Updated Wed 4 Sep 2013, 10:23am AEST
note the date and it becomes obvious who
bought the report.
Published three days before an election.
It is IMPOSSIBLE for me to save more than a few dollars, and for a few grand I could upgrade this tired 'ole 'puter if my life depended on SPEED. I would be far better off if the government didn't have to PAY for this albarross in the first place. It's THE MONEY!
Here's a COOL idea, spend the hundred billion [big number isn't it] subsidising my existing ISP. I reckon they could do a hell of a lot to improve what I have, if I thought that useful. Personally, I'd prefer they reduce tax on booze with that money.
