I've been thinking about some potentially different uses of the new hydrophobic M&G that haven't been mentioned yet. I'm quite curious whether these new formulation(s) could be used in biosensor applications to almost-permanently and selectively fixate hydrophobic molecules and membrane-like constructs to a surface. Such an application could potentially significantly simplify drug research on membrane-bound drug targets. Would be nice to test this out one day, and I hope one of these formulations are available for sale in the not too distant future... alongside more beads, slides, kits, and especially 96-well ELISA plates and everything else that's coming.
