News: Audalia Resources finds base metal and gold in Western Australia

Audalia Resources (ASX:ACP) has assayed several base metal and gold anomalies that require further field work to follow-up for possible target drilling at its Gascoyne Project in Western Australia.

Gascoyne is prospective for a Broken Hill Sedimentary Exhalative massive sulphide lead, zinc and copper deposit

Reconnaissance rockchip and trap-site stream sediment sampling had returned gold, copper, lead and zinc.

Up to 5.4ppb gold was obtained in one catchment where the estimated background is 0.3ppb while the highest lead value occurred in a sample that analysed 63ppm copper, 275ppm lead and 130ppm zinc.

At the Medcalf vanadium-titanium project, the company has completed ore-waste rock characterisation of selected drillholes and 10 surface locations outside the drilling area.

The results indicated that there are no hostile materials with the exception of one sample that had elevated nickel within the waste rock.

The soils are very stable and have good nutrient levels which are ideal for use in waste rock landform rehabilitation.

This will assist Audalia in its commitment to completing rehabilitation works upon completion of each of its exploration activities.

Metallurgical testwork at Medcalf has led to a Phase Two testwork program that will further concentrate the vanadium and reduce the silica content to optimise recoveries. Roast leach testwork will also be conducted in parallel.

Results are expected to be received in the current financial year.
