Iridium GO

Bit of interest this morning on WRR

Iridium GO has now been launched and is being heavily marketed by Iridium

This boat forum has some good discussion on the pro and cons for Iridium GO -　 overall it seems like an interesting product with potential strong retail demand. Still does not have the broadband capabilities for internet browsing on your satphone, but allows calls, texts, low function internet use from anywhere in the world.

The issue is obviously how long until GO gets superseded? WRR have invested $2.5m in the product. They will probably need at least $10m sales (@25%) to get their money back.

Quarterly CF will be heavily dependent on the timing of the receipts and payments associated with the $1.8m first GO order. So hopefully WRR confirm profit guidance at the same time as there will potentially be a large disconnect between CFs and profit.

Will also be very interested to hear feedback from WRR on initial take up of the GO product.
