In 2006, Zjin took a 20% stake in Ridge Mining for $15.4m. In 2007 Ridge contemplated selling Zjin a majority stake valuing the total project at 700m.

"Instead, the assets have been sold for a total of $37m, an indication of how much of the enthusiasm for platinum expansion of less than five years ago, has been replaced by hard economic reality. The buyer is the improbably named China National Arts & Crafts Corporation. Of the $37m, some $4m will be forwarded to Blue Ridge."
Comment: Zjin oversaw a financial disaster for Ridge shareholders. The China National Arts and Crafts Co cleaned up the mess and I am told are doing fine. But holders only received 4m!!!!!!!!!!! And Ridge were not wallowing in an interminable legal muddle.
