At this stage, there are 2 separate projects from which we can expect to see news.
1. Ruighoek Chrome Project
2. Bau Gold Project
RUIGHOEK CHROME PROJECT
1. BFS
2. Project Financing
3. Mining Licence
4. Off-take agreements
5. Mining and production
With the BEE agreement having only recently been completed, it seems unlikely that the information with regards to the BFS is upon us.
This is where someone with good working knowledge of these processes needs to fill in some realistic target dates here. I suspect we wont get any info on the BFS for another month or so. The major hurdle appears to be the mining licence and that could take anywhere up to 6 months, but the reality is that 3/4 of the battle is over by that stage and once that is rec'd, mining and production would ensue shortly after.
I suspect that some sort of agreement or MOU may be signed with regards to supply of the finished product. Given that the infrastructure is already in place, there would definitely be parties interested in securing the mine produce. Perhaps this is where the next announcement is to come from?
Apparently u/g mine operations will need work but the initial mining will be open pit.
BAU GOLD PROJECT
I dont know enough about the project to speculate - Plough, T4P, Brantley, Arttse, others....any ideas on what we can expect to hear about and a possible timeframe.
There is also the possibility that CCI will prove up their resource - unless they are currently drilling, then I cant envisage seeing any drill results for at least 2 months.
I am set now with a parcel of options and FPO's. If the BFS is encouraging, I will continue to hold. I cant see project financing being an issue and if and when the mining licence comes through, I will continue to hold until production begins. The fundamental reasons to buy and hold are at this price and stage, are strong.
But, holders who have short term views need to be realistic and recognise that it could be some weeks before news of a significant nature begins to filter through. Intelligent investors accumulate during this time and nervous and impatient nellies, dump their stock and start rubbishing it.
I would appreciate it if knowledgeable persons could fill in the gaps above so that we can get a feel for the sort of time involved in the process of bringing Ruighoek to mine.
Cheers
