You probably realise that rock chip samples cannot be relied upon to form a defined assay figure in any location.
How were the rock chip samples assayed? .. was it using a hand held XRF or properly assayed by the likes of ALS labs. Rock chip samples are at best only an indicator with a high variance to reality to a concentrated formation below surface.

Rock chips can be washed away from various source formations many Km from rock at surface. At best it may tell the explorer to sink a hole and find out what's below surface. I note that some holes were sunk and that there were some particularly highly anomalous and interesting results below surface. I do not know how these results were assayed from the report...I cannot infer any high grade REE's from that report .

Handheld XRF assay results can be far from the reality in many instances .. these are well known ..Mantle Mining thought they had a huge resource of Phosphate with many samples of grades assayed by a well respected Handheld XRF unit manufacturer, only to find out later that they had to retract those results to the markets by a massive discount factor... like ~ 10% P2O5 to less than ~1000ppm from what I read ..DYOR.
This was probably due to the assay Geologist Calibration errors...it was not a good look for the company at the time... Blame the field Geo's trick.

This may not be the case with the CDU results you are writing about .. although I cannot see any defined data sets in the report.. maybe there are appendices that need to be checked.

I would however expect to see some very high Moly readings in the Wilgar area ..it seems to have some correlation with an area of interest to me elsewhere. You may want to check some historical data assays on the Mary Kathleen mine.

Drilling with hole samples over a few metres and assayed by ALS labs or equivalent will provide a lot more defined information.

Forget the REE's for the time being .. the main thrust with CDU is the Cu etc exports. Other minerals will be a bonus if proved up.

If I remember right they already had unusually high Mo grades at Wilgar from drilling a couple of years back.
