Yes they did and in what is shaping up as a tightly contested race for the finals it might be the game that ultimately costs the Gold Coast a shot at what would have otherwise been their first finals campaign.

The Gold Coast ran all over West Coast in the final quarter only to concede the lead late in the game and then screw up a couple of golden opportunities to get the lead back and win it in the dying stages.

They should have won it given their last quarter dominance (they kicked 6.5 to 1.3) and given the chances they had in the dying stages.

Will they live to regret it? What happens between now and the end of the month will tell the story.
