The more renewable energy we develop , the cleaner we get . Sure , we will cause pollution along the way but ultimately we will be emission free from then on in . Forever .

I wonder how well the solar stuff operates when the next ice age hits?

Will solar panels work when the next asteroid hits and clouds the earth in dust for 6 months?

Coal fired power can survive both of the above.
