I've spent over 45 years in engineering and construction in mining and resources, and by the sound of it, a lot of people have no memory of what a real downturn is.

Nickel was once used merely for coinage and for plating, and a most beautiful effect it was, as shown on a HUGE cast iron stove made for the Auckland Exhibition in the early years of last century, with double Nickle plated top, and ornate doors, hinges and fittings, that a friend of mine scored in mint condition many years back.
