I have an account with Interactive Brokers. They allow me to buy directly in several different markets, including Canada and Australia. I'm cheap so I don't subscribe to real time quotes, but don't trade that often. Typically buy stocks I intend to hold for awhile.
Just like Canada, Australia has a lot of resource stocks that I like AND now I've found they have biotech, too!
