First home buyer area. Basic shopping centre, cul de sacs sort of suburb you find in every Australian city. With the expansion of Perth and better roads Forrestfield is now a middle ring suburb, still cheap with a mixture of old houses, new land and low density.
This week the news is out that the Government is building a new undergound train to Perth airports and extended to Forrestfield. Fifteen minutes by train to CBD. Aready talk of high density and new developments happening. The railway is due to open in 2020 so plenty of time to keep watch on area. Never really thought much of the area but a relative has just bought a 600 sqm block for $280k and is building a big new house. Hills in background, plenty of trees and walk to schools, parks for kids. Very underrated suburb why build 50kms away on a 400sqm block and spend 1 hour each way on freeway.
Definetley a long term suburb to watch for investors.

i looked at buying a house there about 7 years ago, didn't buy it, seen the same house being sold again about 3 years ago with the same asking price as when i was looking at it. but your right nice big blocks and reasonably close to the city, i always thought of the area as a decent choice. wonder where the government is going to get the extra 300 million dollars
