croupier what you say is true but you should acknowledge that the Yanks are not alone in making heaps of moolah from arms sales.
Also ask yourself why are there so many customers for these weapons. Nobody is being forced to buy them yet some countries spend the largest part of their budget buying and developing weapons.
If there was no demand for the weapons then they would not be manufactured much any more, but people want them, are prepared to pay for them and plenty of people are prepared to use them.
This is the reality of the world which most peace activists refuse to see. I think social conditioning over the past thirty years or so of most westerners has made them believe that everyone on the planet really wants peace when in fact there are plenty of people around who really love a fight.
