Graincorp Limited (ASX:GNC) has appointed a new chief executive and managing director. The grain logistics company has announced Mark Palmquist will take the reins from the first of October. Mr Palmquist is currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the agribusiness division of CHS. Graincorp Executive Chairman and Interim CEO, Don Taylor says the company is delighted to have secured such a high-calibre candidate following an extensive international search. Graincorp reported a net profit of $50 million in the first half of the 2014 financial year.
