Pintahoo was talking about being up to our butts in snow now and dams being full and raincoat sales going dambusters now
as if that was a rebuttal of predictions
I haven't checked, and I am not Australian based, but I doubt Flannery was suggesting no more big rains and no more snow now
most predictions are for both increased drought and increased rain where each is currently prevalent
snow might increase in the shorter term because of increased precipitation due to a warmer atmosphere, but exactly what happens with snow is very dependent on combinations of cold and precipitation and hence shorter term weather patterns
in the long run, if we do nothing, sure, you'd expect less and perhaps no snow. But that should be a fair way off.
