Nearology isn't necessarily an indication of success.
I can think of many reasons why nearology is a strong indicator of success, such as:
First to production producers secure the sales agreements and lock the others out.
Dozens of new graphite companies coming into production from 2016 so those moving before them will get higher prices.
Raising the $165m odd for a new mine and plant will be harder as time goes on.
So tell me why you think that TLG being its own master and developing in its own time is a positive?
