    BRETTO50,
It was not I ROH writing those reports on OZ Minerals and Sandfire but respected and long term analysts for The Australian newspaper Barry Fitzgerald [resources ] and Tim Boreham [ criterion ].
Their comment in my opinion was factual . The reason why OZ Minerals did an overnight raid on Sandfire for 19% and did not proceed further has been a real puzzle to me as OZ Minerals had a large cash reserve [ $1 billion dollars [ from memory ] now run down to $155 million ] which could have been used to acquire Sandfire. That was what I anticipated would happen. Why OZ Minerals did not go ahead and mop up Sandfire has never been explained and now the matter of disposal of that OZ Mineral's stake has been raised..
My comment of where Sandfire goes after DeGrussa is I believe a legitimate one and one raised by analyst Barry Fitzgerald. This has a bearing on what OZ Minerals decide to do [retain their stake or exit ]. I cannot see them now proceeding to takeover Sandfire.
I agree with you that CuDeco is in a fortunate position in having so many areas awaiting exploration and plenty of time for them to be drill tested before the end of the current ten year open cut mining operation. CuDeco has also announced that it is looking at an underground operation from the base of the open cuts when that level is reached and down to 1,000 metres . CuDeco has also said they are examining the feasibility of increasing throughput from the current 3 million tonnes per annum to between 6 and 15 million tonnes per annum which, if adopted, could see underground mining commence earlier than the current mine plan of 10 years.
