Throughput at 80% doesn't give you overall recovery of 80% x reported recovery. It does however give you 80% less output at the end since you are feeding 80% less ore in at the start. So yes total gold out at the moment is less than if they were feeding 100% of the capacity of ore in the front, but it doesn't change the overall recovery from 55% to 44% as you suggest. Either you don't have a clue about what you are talking about in relation to a very simple detail about how the math works, or you are hoping to be deliberately deceitful. Either way, as I said, thanks for the hugely useful insight. I think I'll continue to ignore your bs.
