I've been wanting to post on this journalists dead for a few days now but think this is the perfect thread to do so.

Firstly, don't get me wrong... I do not condone what happened to this journalist or any other poor innocent vicitm in the terrible situation they find themselves in.

    However:

This journalist knew the risk he took when going to a war torn location to report to the world. Journalist are not supermen and bleed like the rest of us. They think they are untouchable and often attend very risky and dangerous places for a story. Unfortunately sooner or later this was bound to happen. The killers do not care who they are, they care about what they are not... And if your not with them, you are against them.

When that Malaysian plane went down, the media were at the crash site long before any other civilian/police/armed forces were even allowed to be there. Once again at great risk to themselves. What would have happened if one of them was shot or blown up... Same thing I think.

The Al Jazeera journalists who have been charged with being part of the brotherhood.. Did they not think that when you follow the enemy around you may become part of the enemy??? Watching and filming people die and doing absolutely nothing about it, is the same as pulling the trigger yourself. They don't care about truthful reporting, they care about ratings.

I just wanted to vent over people doing risky things and getting into trouble because of it...

You may agree or not... Don't care.

Matbe all media organisations will take precautions now.
