I have friends out there now and I have friends who were there during every stage of development, although I knew little of the project at the time. I have few kind words for previous project managers and senior personnel who were for the most part the source of the original conspiracy theories about who had their hand in the till.

Let me tell you this for sure and certain, not one of those theories around Norm Gardner have been true. I have met him socially and have friends who know him exceptionally well. The guy wears his heart on his sleave and lives and breathes this project like his life depends on it.

I will certainly agree that if the head hasn't turned in the September report then there is a problem, but my most recent mail from site is that barging is shooting the lights out (which has always been my major concern), haulage and crushing is hauling and processing everything that they are given and it is up to mining to dig it out of the ground, which they are doing.
