The problem is the 'coalition of the willing' completely destabilised this whole region. It was very obvious, that with all the different religious factions that it required a strong hand to maintain relative peace for all to live a fairly normal life. That was the position before the invasion. Iraq was a moderate Muslim country where women had far more rights than in most Muslim communities. No requirement for the burka, they even held important work place positions. Now I am not Sudam was a good bloke, but by the time of the invasion, Iraq was a beautiful place. Now it is destruction, chaos and open murder. The 'coalition of the willing' have certainly destabilised and ruined most peoples lives. It was obvious to me at the time that this would end up in civil war.
One has to ask, why did this happen, and who were the beneficiaries........the war machine and big US companies, connected to the US political machine. I heard the other day that Obama raised $1 billion for his last election campaign. Politics is certainly corrupt and big business only, and they are feathering their own nest at the expense of those they are supposed to serve.
