I have held Oil and Gas shares for a numbers of years, traded in a lot of different companies (though I am a long term holder in FAR - 5 years). The one thing that always annoys me, is that in any company drilling a well that I have had shares in - the Share Holders become so 'over the top' with excitement and greed - they talk about 'When we hit oil' and 'when we are all rich' and how there can't be 'ANYTHING but oil down there'... and then it turns out it is a duster.
The difference with FAR - and the Share Holders (that I have noticed) is that nearly all of us are actually fairly pessimistic about this... kind of saying 'yeah yeah... lets not get to excited... chances are it's another duster'... which makes me think ... we probably have hit oil LOL.
At least we are all been very realistic re expectations- it is very refreshing to see.
