That is such an irrelevant point. I can list you numerous companies who have had shortfall raising before results, underwritten by directors, only then to go on and multibag - perhaps check out ALT's recent raise at 2.4c which had shortfall of $369k to Pattos, $250k to MD. The stock hit results and surpassed 5c (100% return in a matter of weeks)

The directors of UEQ stumped up $500k+ as show of support and the shortfall will most likely be taken by those same directors or associates who are major shareholders (therefore not anticipated to be sellers). I would far prefer a raise of $750k with 66% going to management + shortfall then a $1M raise and none to management and all to retail

The placement will have next to no impact on the SP if they strike U, as less than $200k of placement is outside of management. I don't expect to see management selling at 1.2c for their 20% cream either
