Hey all , With Hastings being targeted for a 2nd major port for Victoria over the next decade or so does anyone know the area well enough to call it a buy or sell ?
I have been there a few times but don't know it well and thought it was a bit down in the mouth compared to the other side of the peninsula like Drugmana and Safety beach etc .
I note some of the most expensive realestate exists down the rd at Flinders and Shoreham and many from the inner burbs also have holiday houses down there . Names like John Farnham and retired afl head may have a property down that way as well . Flinders is probably 2nd only to Portsea or Sorrento .
So what will happen to the surrounding areas of Hastings should the local infrastructure like roads and shops improve ?
Will the place remain a gheto or will the new money and jobs transform the place and surrounding burbs into something special [like port melbourne ] lol
Lots of cheap houses down there at present but not sure if a house,factory or even commercial would be a better investment .
