Etrade Australia now uses 128bit encryption.
Older versions of windows 2000 and before that were sold to non friendly countries eg Iraq China Russia etc.
only had 64 Bit Encryption.
128 Bit Encryption was banned under US export Laws.
If a site used 128 bit encryption, you could not connect to it with a 64 bit encryption browser.
The yanks have only allowed Australia to have 128 Bit Encryption since about 2001.
