Basic Accounting principles in a nutshell is that you want your income to exceed your costs,( in this case there has been an underlying loss) and your assets to outweigh your liabilities. Your balance sheet items come in after your initial PL depending on which way you want the wind to blow.

- Real Profit in PL
-Strong Balance Sheet
- Strong Cash flow
- Limited Debt or exposure to debt.
They have ticked the last three boxes IMHO.
