"Brits seize islands, oust the natives ie Argentinians", when exactly was that? French, Spanish, British all made claims at some point. A few Argentinian pirates had a crack and got spanked by the Yanks and then asked to leave. Hardly an 'ousting'. That was the way of the world back then.
Things have moved on a bit since, taking of established territory by force is now somewhat frowned upon. Especially when it is completely against the will of the inhabitants. Look at the trouble Putin is having, and some of the locals are actually supportive too. Not 99% opposed. That's progress for you.
Regarding your "nraoloogy", if you want to phrase it in an English sentence I'll be happy to address it.
