LOL, it seems you need to expand your trips to California to include areas outside San Fran or Beverley Hills. 0.05% of cars registered in California is a Tesla. There are also more Leafs, Volts, and Plug in Prius sold than Teslas.

Aside from the cars, I think the bullish argument for Tesla lies in it's expansion into battery production, and everything they do will be supported by government policies and subsidies. On the automotive front they will potentially be swamped by the majors. The battery front may be a different story. However, it looks like good odds for a short to me. Will look into it.
