I don't have to do anything Ian. I was merely responding to the idea, that I quoted in reply, that California is "crawling with Teslas" which clearly it is not.
Once the quantum leap in battery efficiency arrives in the next ten years it will be nothing for the majors to incorporate the technology. Arguably hybrid is more complex, and they have all taken that on.
The conundrum for Tesla is do they build the Gigaplant geared for existing technology that may quickly be redundant, or do they rush development of the next generation, or do they build a plant that will be easily adaptive for evolution?
