I would have thought it is self evident. Less saline water freezes at a lower temperature than higher saline water.

I mentioned nothing about density. Suggest you check your own facts about what someone posts before proclaiming from on high that they are wrong.

While you are on about facts, the opposite is true. Otherwise sea ice would be very salty and not fresh.
