Rudders - i'm not sure exactly where you are but I take it with bandicoots and on a river you are nowhere near me lol

So I can't put you onto the same service person I used but regardless you may be able to try using the same method - goes to every possible entry point even the slightest gap and pot rivets wire mesh over the gap - in the case of the weather board that they keep ripping holes in maybe you could try and wire mesh them from the inside ?  You need to leave a one way door that they can push out to exit but it wont go back inwards.- once they are out they are out and they will leave after working out all the entry points are no longer there. Ours went to the neighbours roof - I don't think they like me very much now lol

FWIW where you wrote about you need to take caught possums "at least 50m away or they will return" I always heard even as a child it was more like 5km+ - people would always take them to the bush not down the road.
