Interesting! So when methane displaced oxygen the voltage changes, meaning this has a signal voltage (although probably excessively small) yet is still intrinsically safe? Id guess thats because the chance of spark on a minute voltage is extremely rare.
even so, id bet companies would rather by a completely intrinsically safe option? Unless the cost is very different.
