That's one of the things I still can't get my head around, why does SBB pay interest on loans of 5.6% to 8.7% pa while they have a pile of cash earning a measly 0.25% interest ? It just defies common sense. They appear to have enough working capital without having to resort to debt.
Apple sits a pile of cash because it can't bring it back into the US without incurring tax. SBB doesn't have this issue.
