That's all a little simplistic, sydneyguy. What happens after the West blow up the latest round of fundamentalists in Iraq? The problem is Iraq - a failed state created by the whims of old empires. Sunni, Shia and Kurds will never share power in a democratic system so this will happen all over again until they formally partition the place.
