re: mtn - getting on with it. Uraniumbull
You seem like a reasonable fellow so I will respond to your post. As for Dangerouswanka everything he has said is fanciful rubbish and does not contain a grain of truth. Talking sense to him would be like reasoning with a rabid dog. He obviously is suffering some form of psychosis relating to his dealings with someone at Marathon.

I can assure you that the rock hosting the uranium at Mt Gee is not quartz hematite it is only hematite-breccia and highly clay altered at that, quite soft. There is in place already a 9B native title agreement with the Adnyamathanha people specifically for the exploration license at Mt Gee, signed and sealed. Very few mining companies in SA have gone this far with any aboriginal group. All drill sites have been cleared in person with as many as a dozen of the traditional elders of the tribe.

The deposit could be mined by access using a decline with a remote portal without scarring or interfering with either Mt Gee or Mt Painter. Is it not feasable to exploit a $4-5 billion deposit for say 10-15 years, pack up, clean up and leave the site as it is now. This is a question of technology. I see some of the opposition as being philosophical in nature, in other words you would never be able please these people.
Arkaroola is not a World Heritage Area, it is a picturesque, rugged pastoral lease that is recovering from a hundred years of scarring by ferral animals, mining and exploration, far from the pristine environment that is portrayed by some. The wildlife sanctuary status is a classification given to it so that as
a pastoral lease it does not have to carry stock. Arkaroola is managed by the Sprigg family as an eco-tourism enterprise, a business.

Mining is not incompatible with this type of operation, legally or in practice. With modern technology mining can be carried out in an environmentally friendly manner and very discretely.
The worlds mineral resources are too valuable to be locked up by politicians and small interest groups for very long.

As for the grade, it is currently worth about $120 per tonne on average or 3 grams per ton gold equivalent and appreciating each week.

There will always be opposition to uranium mining. Even Alliance will find it tough when they try to dig a massive open cut on the plains in full view of the Sillers Lookout on Arkaroola. Rent-a-crowd will be there in full force.
Common sense should prevail. Technology will win in the end.

You dont need to invest your money in Marathon but please don't let prejudices cloud your judgement. After all everyone is just trying to make a buck. It makes the world go arround and keeps us all in the lifestyle we have become accustomed to.

    Thanks for listening.
    I hold Marathon.

There is one very annoyed broker in Adelaide that is not happy with the positive press that Marathon has received. A previous joint venturer left the area only after a legal dispute forced a splitting up of the joint venture area. Bonanza Gold took the Mt Gee tenement by choice. Bonanza Gold at that time was owned by one person, an Adelaide prospector. He then sold some shares in the company to fund further private exploration and only much later was introduced to the current Marathon management team to take the project public. There is no scam with cheap shares, avoiding escrow or trying to fob off some dud on the public. This person still strongly believes in the potential of the Mt Gee tenement and holds all his shares even though they were never constrained by escrow.
