Gents,
All good thoughts so thought I might throw my hat in the ring as well.....been a while.
Fact of life, Far / Cairn or any company on this earth can put in a plan and timelines. Reality is its a guide only and should never been taken as gospel.
This venture , as with all industries, deals with many variables and if we aim to do the job correctly (as we should and I believe is happening here ) then its going to take time to get it right.
The massive expense of getting the rig onsite and doing the job more than justifies taking the time to do it safely, and thoroughly, getting full results of the prospective find. to leave before getting all possible results would be foolish.

I understand everyones frustration......I work on new build projects building these rigs and deepwater drillships being constantly hounded to match a schedulers plan....(who has never physically done the build job themselves of course) but at the end of the day , the rig has to be completed and work correctly.......timeline is a target only.....it rarely gets met if quality is to be achieved.

All respects to accountants but they push and push but the job has to be done correctly .....end of story.

Based on my industry knowledge, and from what we see here , I believe there is a good field result and the longer the rig stays onsite, the more the indication of commercial success. You can guarantee if nothing came up the hole they would be long gone.........

The exception would be breakdown/ maintenance delays but they have been reporting them promptly (ref previous rig maintenance) and this should be added to the original timelines given as a minimum.

My thoughts, definitely they are on to a commercial find and they will plug it and re enter as required.........abandon it....no way , not after all that expense........it was the most prospective point which is why they started there in the first place.

I,m holding and happy to wait as long as it takes to get an accurate / correct result......no issue at all.
