Iraq though an aberration will be short lived, even if it goes on for another ten years, transportation on the other hand is with us 'forever'.
so, yes, it's worth asking about the economics of biodiesel.
whatever the long term result for mass-transportation fuel it'll never be cheap, but at least it could be a lot cleaner?
and surely those oil shale deposits must be getting close to economic? though they sure aren't clean - they could be if sufficient effort was made to make them so - it's all about money eh?
