Oli ............... Cairn setup Cairn India and transferred all the CNE Indian oil discoveries, valued at round $US10B, into Carin India in 2007 (this is what the Indian Govern are now retrospectively taxing under a new law enacted in 2012) and have since sold down their holding in Cairn India to ~10% or $US1b ............... so CNE now only have a 10% holding in Cairn India ............. hope that helps.
