Most vessels will be listed as tugs or anchor handlers etc.... two is normal around a rig at all times...
the presence of a third MAY suggest it has an ROV package on board... it will be used to put the final gaskets on the well head and the well cap.....
After that it will retrieve the sea floor radio beacons and give them back to the rig....
