If you need to remove the BOP from the well head, you must replace the gasket before re-connecting. The ROV is capable of doing this.
A new gasket is only required if the BOP or LMRP (the top half of the BOP) is disconnected from the well. Reasons, repair BOP, position holding problems, dis-connection for bad weather, etc
Well Cap? Only required for suspending a well. As this well will be abandoned, no well cap required.
