I differ to many on here and am of the opinion that there is unlikely to be an announcement of any great detail at the end of the first drill. The way these guys play it as partners I'd imagine FAR will say something along the lines of ' the rig is moving to SNE1 while they continue to test the oil show at the first site. And Cairne will say nothing at all.
IMHO there are either complex deals being done and they are keeping their card closed, or they will turn up a duster. The longer it takes to announce anything the tighter I hold. IMO If the first drill was a duster we would know by now. You have to remember that there is another partner in the mix and FAN- 1 is seriously derisking SNE1and if the first is successful the second is likely to be too. There will be dealsl being done right now with the third partner CP If FAN1 is looking good. remember CP dwarfs CNE and FAR. No one seems to be considering them on this thread, but if CP want things kept tight, you can bet things will be kept tight. I am afraid more patience is probably going to be required.
if both drills are showing a commercial find, when it gets announced FAR will be in a fantastic position at the negotiation table.
Personally I am feeling mildly confident because they haven't announced anything yet, because of the FARjOy disclosure and because Kenya is about to be announced.
I still believe FAR is sailing closer to the perfect storm, but we sure arent there yet.
