insaf a bit of history might help you, you need to look back to WW1 and WW2, a different circumstance i agree but the fears within the Australian Communities were much the same with regard to Germans, Japanese and Italians born here or elsewhere.
At this point the Muslim community has nothing to complain about but may do if things escalate.
