ROFL looks like a few of you jokers are having a good laugh here thumbing me up
Did some digging and it looks like "Deep EM" surveys are similar to "Down Hole EM"
With the difference being that Deep EM are done from the surface to try see as deep as possible as the name suggest and Down Hole EM is done actually down the drill core/hole
Both have the same purpose to identify deep targets hidden by cover
