Sealed batteries are a problem, they lose water over time and that kills them. I have cut the tops off with a dremel tool , added water and they are good for another 12 months. exposed plates causes oxidation, having no charge causes sulphation. Nickel iron batteries last 30 years, i hope we see these made as a car battery.
