If you prediction is correct, it would be a good news. Restructuring of debt-done and additional equity funding of $67 million will de-risk Lynas.
It seems that the right issue will be underwritten by investors who specialise in the energy and industrial sectors. This will be win win situation for everyone (debt-holders and shareholders).
If existing shareholders do not want to participate in the right issue, their equity ownership will get diluted down and standby investors will swallow all unsubscribed right issue shares. If existing shareholders do subscribe, their equity ownership will not get diluted down except from the effect of shares placement to specific investors..
Hope the offer will be renounceable right issue which means that existing shareholders can sell their right if they do not want to subscribe the right issue. Standby investors can buy those rights.
